I had an early night yesterday. Slept like a baby. I woke up, turned to my phone to check on the time and was met by some alarming news.
I cannot even remember it word-for-word, but it was along the lines of 'Manchester explosion kills and injures many at concert.' The notification had been sent twenty-seven minutes earlier, so I assumed the attack had taken place in the US.
Not that it mattered. A terrorist attack is a terrorist attack wherever it is.
My initial assumption was absolutely incorrect. It is Great Britain's Manchester that was targeted. Like I've already stated - an attack is dreadful wherever it takes place. It selfishly feels even more dreadful when it's close to home.
