Forgot

If you read yesterday's post, you would have known that I was hoping Arsenal won the FA Cup yesterday. They did, so that's cool.

What isn't cool is Chelsea forgetting to wear black armbands to honour those who were murdered in Manchester on Monday night.

Sure, the team corrected the error at half-time, but it was too little too late for me.

I think the excuse is lame. You're going to tell me that - out of the manager, players and staff - not one person remembered they were supposed to have had armbands on?

Before answering, here's something that should be brought up:

In the final game of the Premier League season, Chelsea orchestrated a twenty-sixth minute substitution so they could honour John Terry in his final game for the club. They gave him a guard of honour as he left the pitch. This was a week ago today.

The very same team that remembered to do the twenty-sixth minute celebration to honour a player who wore number twenty-six forgot to wear armbands to remember those who perished on Monday night.

Let that sink in.
