Cable & TV Trauma

You're going to love this one.

I woke up early this morning because I had a repairman coming over.  First thing I did was head to the PC to watch last night's episode of WWE Raw.

The damn cable box had gone into reboot mode sometime between yesterday evening and the start of the show, so Windows Media Center couldn't detect the box. It didn't record.

Ah! But like a true hardcore, I had a back-up plan. The TiVo box in the dining room has all WWE shows on season record just in case Problem A occurred.

Went downstairs, turned the TV on via the remote as we have to keep it on standby because the physical switch on the front of the set is dodgy. I managed to catch about three minutes - if that -of Raw before I had a phone call informing me the repair fella was on the way.

As soon as he left, I headed back into the room to watch the show only to realise he must have used the plugs to use his drill. He switched off the TV and I cannot get the damn thing to switch back on!
