Finding Flavour In Poor Taste

In yesterday's post, I noted the eeries coincidence of David Gest having passed away just a few months after the confusion that occurred during the most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother when Angie Bowie told Tiffany Pollard that 'David (Bowie)' had died and Pollard misinterpreted it as being 'David (Gest)' had died.

After reading a bit more about Gest's passing yesterday, I found an interesting bit about Pollard.

Apparently, she and her management - or what ever they are called - had produced a t-shirt with 'David Is Dead' written on it. The shirt -playing on the miscommunication from January - was withdrawn from sale moments after the news of David Gest's passing was announced.

The reason: they felt it wasn't in good taste to sell it following Gest's death.

It made me roll my eyes. The shirt should never have seen the light of day in the first place. After all, it was profiting from the death of David Bowie.

That's poor taste and a lack of awareness if ever I saw it.
