One of the betting stories that grabbed my attention this week was the one that revealed Coral Bookmakers had closed a market for the Queen abdicating on Christmas Day due to wagering activity raising an alarm.
The thing is, I'm not buying for a minute that the Queen will stand down.
And I'm certainly not going to believe that a message, such as her abdicating from her throne, will take place during a pre-recorded Christmas message.
Her address is already in the can and ready to air next week. If, and that really is a big 'IF', she were to abdicate - she'll announce it live.
It's a non-story.
