I read an article about televised football rights over the weekend and it appears that - when the next Premier League contract is signed - we should expect Friday night football games.
Interesting.
I know it doesn't mean much, but I am habitually content knowing that the gameweek begins at lunchtime on a Saturday. A Friday night kick-off will take some getting used to.
Of course, the European leagues have been doing this for a while. The German Bundesliga has certainly been doing this for years.
We still have a while to wait. Friday Night Football - Premier League Style - won't go into effect until the 2016/17 season.
