There was an interesting piece in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter about Mr. T being brought up as a possible name for this year's WWE Hall of Fame class.
Apparently, T has been asked a number of times in the past and has always turned them down. They're trying harder than ever for him to be included this year, though.
Personally, I would like to see him included. Like Dave Meltzer noted, if Mr. T - who at that time was a major mainstream name - hadn't been associated with the World Wrestling Federation at the time of the inaugural WrestleMania, the company may not even exist today.
That's how big he was back in 1985.
I know the Hall of Fame is a work. Despite this, I think T deserves some sort of credit for what he did during the expansion years.
Also, I was a Mr. T fan long before I came across WWF wrestling.
