Thoughts On Batista & The Royal Rumble

So, Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble and now heads into WrestleMania XXX to take on the WWE World Heavyweight champion in April.

It wasn't the most surprising of finishes, was it?

'The Animal' has only just returned to World Wrestling Entertainment after a near four year hiatus and he was the focal point of the advertising for the pay-per-view.

With that said, and like I have noted in the past, a shock here and there would be nice on occasions.

I had a £4 bet on Sheamus to win. I had a feeling he would return at the show and somehow end up winning it. I even wrote as much in Sunday's post.

66/1 were great odds.

Sheamus did make a comeback and finished third.

It did make me enjoy the match a little better knowing I was close to winning big if the Irishman ended up being victorious.

It seems the Pittsburgh crowd didn't enjoy the action, though. They were quite vocal at not seeing Daniel Bryan entered into the match and hated the title match.

I guess the chanting made for a unique atmosphere.

All in all, I didn't hate the show. I didn't love it. Just liked it.
