I was looking out my kitchen window yesterday morning and I saw a really cool looking spider web with its owner sitting dead centre.
It was raining at the time, so the raindrops made the web glittery. I thought to myself that it would make for a nice picture.
I went outside, walked as close to the web as I could in order to take the photograph and - as I was about to take the snap - the spider crawled out of view.
The result was a wet web that wouldn't have shown up well in the photograph.
This little experience made me wonder how great nature photographers are to capture things so perfectly.
And what about those photographers who see something only to be a second too late? For every wonderful photograph that is captured there must be thousands that are missed.
