I was anticipating the release of the Premier League fixtures for the 2013/14 season as soon as it was confirmed that Cardiff City would be playing in the division.
The game I was looking forward to the most was the opening one.
I had visions of Manchester United, Chelsea or Manchester City being the first challenge the Bluebirds will face.
Instead, they get West Ham United. A team they played on the opening weekend two seasons ago in the Championship.
I'll have to wait an extra week for a mouth watering encounter. Cardiff will take on Manchester City on August 24th.
