Thoughts On Mick McManus

I wasn't alive during the height of Mick McManus' wrestling career. That's not to say I hadn't heard about it, though.

He was television's most famous wrestler at a time when satellite and cable TV were things of the future. Hell, even Channel 4 was still a long way off.

I grew up during the days of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks. I believed that these two behemoths were household names.

And they were.

It's just that McManus was there first.
