The Extreme Rules Fix Was In

As I didn't watch WWE's Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Sunday night, the first thing I did yesterday morning was check out the results.

One of the things that grabbed my attention in the report I read involved gambling on WWE.

Apparently, there had been a lot of money wagered on the bout between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger since Saturday night.

The line moved to favour Del Rio winning after the original finish of Jack Swagger was reversed.

The storyline finish saw Swagger win through cheating, the referee watched a replay and restarted the match. Del Rio was victorious.

A number of years ago, I felt cheated out of a betting win where the original outcome of a match was reversed. Since then, the US betting site that takes WWE wagers changed its rules to take into account the possibility of a reversed decision.

It looks like this has backfired on them.

It's obvious that somebody in the know was behind the big bets on the finish.
