Not Part Of The Entertainment

It has been reported that Jerry 'The King' Lawler is in a stable condition in a Montreal hospital after suffering a heart attack on Monday's episode of WWE Raw.

So, there is a positive sign that he can survive this.

I did end up returning to the episode after turning it off to find out what had happened.

I felt bad for Michael Cole having seen his colleague and friend collapse like that and then to have to continue calling a match live on TV. There are pictures online of an anxious looking Cole sitting at the broadcast booth with the empty chair beside him. Percy Pringle tweeted that no words were necessary when you viewed the picture. He wasn't wrong.

There is going to be a lot of debate over what happened for months to come especially with Linda McMahon in the race for a Senate seat.

Some people are going to speculate on drug use playing a part in Lawler's heart attack. That couldn't be further from the truth. I know for a fact that Lawler is a staunch non-drinker and non-smoker so there is absolutely no way he would have been abusing his body with anything that could harm it.

Anyway, it's encouraging news coming out of Montreal. Jerry Lawler's health should be the first issue people should concern themselves with. Questions can always be asked later.
