The One That Got Away

I had a mediocre weekend in betting.

The good news - Six winners, four losers.

And the bad?

No profit.

The kick in the teeth didn't even happen in any of the bets I did. It was the one I didn't do that hurts this morning.

As I was preparing for bed, I looked at the odds on New Orleans to win by over forty-three points in a winning margin bet. I had £1.73 left in a betting account from a few weeks ago and the thought of betting on the Saints to win by that margin crossed my mind. The odds were nice, as well.

40/1.

I ultimately decided to cut my losses for the weekend.

I woke up early this morning, looked at the result and couldn't believe my eyes.

The Saints beat the Colts 62-7.

You win some and you lose some. But, in this case, I fall in a totally different category as I hadn't placed myself in a position to be a winner or loser.
