Snake '97

If you had a Nokia phone in the late-90s to early 2000s it's possible that you played the game titled Snake that was on the 'games' function.

The aim of the game is to go around the screen collecting dots (I think they're meant to be apples but they look more like dots to me!) the only problem is you are a snake and every time you eat said dot/apple/what ever it's meant to be you grow and have to ensure you don't crash into other parts of your body as you maneuver around the screen looking for your next dot/apple/you get the point.

I spent hours playing this game back in the day. It would kill a lot of time on journeys back-and-forth to London and Manchester.

I hadn't played the game for over ten years but was emailed a link from my friend the other day. He informed me that the game was now available as an iPhone app.

I downloaded it immediately.

The creators added the Nokia facia as well. This means it looks exactly like how I played it in the past.

I replied to my friend noting 'now all I need is my dyed blonde hair and I'll be back in 1998'.

I'm pretty sure the novelty of the game will wear off but - for the moment - it's a fun trip down memory lane.
