I've just been reading an email from Play.com warning me that the company they use for marketing communication has had a security breach and some customers' names and email addresses may have been compromised.
But, Play would like to point out that they 'take privacy and security very seriously and ensure all sensitive data is protected. Please be assured this situation has occurred outside of Play.com'.
Isn't that a slight contradiction?
I know my card details are safe but them trying to pass the buck to the other company is laughable when it was Play.com who gave our names and email addresses to them in the first place.
