2010 : The Year In Review

2010 has almost gone.

To me, I'd have to say it was a year of technical advancement.

And it all started on New Year's Day.

I bought a PlayStation 3 and it seemed to roll from there. In February, I purchased an Apple iPhone. My birthday in May saw me buy a HD-TV along with a Blu-ray player for my bedroom and then in September my long running (well, it seemed to go on forever) battle to get my laptop written off was victorious and I was able to secure a brand new laptop.

I don't think I have ever bought so much technology within one calendar year.

And now, it's time to look back at my '2010 : The Year In Preview' post from January 1st 2010 and see where I went.. er, wrong in my predictions for the year.

San Diego or Indianapolis will win the Super Bowl

Close. Indy got to the game but lost.

Batista will win the Royal Rumble

No.

Cardiff City will secure promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs

Damn. What is it with my favourite teams letting me down? Cardiff also made it to the game but lost.

Bret Hart will defeat Vince McMahon in a street fight at WrestleMania XXVI

Correct. In one of the worst matches of the year, I should add.

The Ultimate Warrior will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame

It didn't happen although he was asked.

Manchester City will win the FA Cup

No.

Manchester City will win the Carling Cup

You know, if I keep saying it - it will happen. Eventually.

Chelsea and Manchester City will play each other in the Community Shield in August

Oh no, they didn't.

I'll finally understand baseball

Oh no I didn't.

Triple H will face-off against Sheamus for the WWE title at WrestleMania

Close. They did wrestle at Mania but it wasn't for the belt.

I will win a prize in a competition (somehow)

I did

A lot of misses but a few hits.
