Is there any point in having a third place game at the World Cup?
To me, it's a waste of time sitting there watching a game for ninety minutes - or more - with both teams fighting to become the third and fourth place in the tournament.
It must be even more uninspiring to play in a game where, whether you win or not, you're still a loser.
I have a feeling Uruguay will win tonight's game.
I'm basing this on which squad will be more likely to phone it in and Germany strike me as that sort of team now that they have nothing to play for.
I'm not going to bet on it, though.
