Thoughts On Cyber Sunday

Here are a few thoughts on last night's pay-per-view.

- It was a really good show.

- A majority of my predictions from last Friday's post ended up coming in.

- I enjoyed the Evan Bourne and Matt Hardy ECW title match.

- The Undertaker was not the right guy to be put in a last man standing match when you consider that he is breaking down physically. There were a few moments in this match that he failed to beat the ten count but was saved by the referee, Charles Robinson, when he slowed down his count when he knew Taker was having a hard time getting to his feet.

- Stone Cold looked in good shape. Maybe the talk of him having one last match at WrestleMania XXV will prove true.

- I am not so sure about the results of the Santino Marella bout. Honky Tonk Man beating Roddy Piper by just one percent of the vote looks to me like WWE trying to satisfy Piper in that he only lost by the narrowest of margins. We all know Piper liked to be protected from doing too many jobs during his career - losing a text vote by a landslide would be a major job in this day and age. Sure, it sounds a bit far fetched but egos are egos in this business.
