If I Had A Dollar

It's WWE's Cyber Sunday event this weekend and I'm going to run down the unique card and wonder what will occur.

The event is the only pay-per-view in the year where viewers have a say in what happens. This year, the fans - now patronisingly referred to as the 'WWE Universe' - have to text in votes to the series of bouts on offer.

I'm going to run down the list and tell you what I would vote for if I was an American resident and wanted to waste ninety-nine cents per vote. I'll also tell you what - judging by the way TV has been the past three weeks - WWE wants you to vote for.

Pick The Tag Team Match : Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase vs CM Punk and Kofi Kingston, The Miz and Morrison vs Cryme Tyme or Jamie Noble and Mickie James vs William Regal and Leyla

I think WWE wants the Rhodes and Dibiase match but the fans will probably want to see Miz & Morrison. I don't really care for any of these matches so I'll go with the WWE booking and vote for what they want me to vote for.

US Title Match : Pick Shelton Benjamin's opponent out of : R-Truth, MVP or Festus

Who cares? I'd vote for MVP but WWE has been hating on him for some backstage problems he has caused. The consensus vote will be R-Truth.

ECW Title Match : Pick Matt Hardy's opponent out of : Mark Henry, Evan Bourne or Finlay

Should be Bourne but will probably be Mark Henry.

Kane vs Rey Mysterio: Pick the type of match out of : Falls count anywhere, No holds barred or 2-out-of-3 falls

Hmm, I don't know. The fans would surely pick a bout that would favour Rey. In that case, it has to be the final selection. If I were voting, I'd pick either of the first two - it will mean the match is shorter!

Undertaker vs The Big Show: Pick the type of match out of - Knockout, I quit or Last man standing

After Big Show won over Taker by a KO in their last encounter, I can see the fans voting for a Knockout match as revenge. I'd probably go for it, too.

Intercontinental championship: Pick Santino Marella's opponent out of - Goldust, Honky Tonk Man or Rowdy Roddy Piper

Honky Tonk Man will win this. The entire storyline has been about Marella trying to beat HTM's record as the longest reigning Intercontinental champion. I would have held off from having him involved so early and let him show up a week before the record is broken and then have him beat Marella. That idea, however, is too far down the road and WWE doesn't seem to have much patience in their angles anymore. Just to throw a spanner in the works, I would vote Piper but I know it is a wasted vote.

WWE Championship match: Triple H vs Jeff Hardy, Triple H vs Vladimir Kozlov or Triple H vs Jeff Hardy vs Vladimir Kozlov in a triple threat match

Fans love Hardy so he should get the nod despite all the TV trying to get Kozlov into the mix. Even if it is Hardy, Kozlov will get involved as the company is trying to make him the next killer heel and has potential to be the next WWE Champion. I'd vote Kozlov, too. I just know it will be Hardy, though.

World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho vs Batista : Pick the ref out of Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton or Steve Austin

Stone Cold will win this hands down. If you were placing your picks on current TV storylines it should be Michaels. I just cannot see a name like Steve Austin coming anywhere but first in fan voting. I would have put in HBK, though.

I'll return to this topic next week and see how I did.
