Sherri Martel

'Sensational' Sherri Martel died yesterday at the age of forty-nine.

If you have been a regular reader of this blog or have a good memory you will know that she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the Spring of 2006.

I had a few good words to write about Sherri back when I wrote about the Hall of Fame as she had added me to her mailing list after I sent her a few random lines in late 2004.

I had a number of emails from Sherri since that time and I even congratulated her when it was announced that she was to be inducted into the Hall.

On that night in question; Sherri stole the show.

She had to be prompted to wrap-up her speech as she had gone over her required time. She kept shouting to the people heckling her that it was her time and to be quiet. She was enjoying herself and you could tell she didn't want the experience to end.

Little did we know it was to be her last moment in the spotlight.
