Fantasy WSOP

The World Series of Poker kicked off last night in Las Vegas. The series of tournaments will played over the course of the next few weeks and will culminate with the crowning of a new World champion in the main event.

To make the month even more interesting Poker Player magazine is running a competition similar to fantasy football - The Fantasy WSOP League.

The rules are simple, each player must pick a team of professionals and make sure they don't go over the budget of 2,000 points. Points are awarded for these performances of the pro's in all of the events in the World Series calendar.

I have built a team called 'Team Equinoxx' and my players - as well as their value - are listed below. It is too late to enter your own team but you can keep up to date with the scores at www.pokerplayermagazine.co.uk/fantasy

Team Equinoxx

Roland de Wolfe 150pts
Marcel Luske 100pts
Scotty Nguyen 100pts
Jennifer Harman 300pts
Joe Hachem 150pts
Devilfish 100pts
Daniel Negreanu 500pts
Phil Laak 100pts
Dan Harrington 300pts
