Heads And Tayls

For the last two years I had succeded in predicting the outcome of the coin toss to start the Super Bowl.

I always pick tails. It's a play on my surname and the adage that 'Tails for Wales never fails'.

So - for two full years - I stuck to the tails concept.

Until yeserday.

A few days after winning last year's coin toss I was on the bus-stop waiting for my ride to work and I thought 'next year it will be heads'.

Fast forward to yesterday afternoon and I was surfing the available bets for the Super Bowl and it reminded me of that cold February morning in 2006. I said it would be heads so I had to stick to my feeling.

I had £15 remaining in my Bet365 account and the odds on heads being the result was evens. For some reason the odds on tails were 5/6 which must have been because a lot of people were either looking at the current run of tails or were probably thinking tails for Wales never fails. Either way, the odds on it being heads was more rewarding so I placed the money on that result.

Once the opening ceremony ended they went to the coin toss.

Heads.

I win.
